SYNOPSIS
Three-time European champions Spain begin their campaign against Group E rivals Sweden at Seville's Estadio La Cartuja. Winners in 1964, 2008 and 2012, the Spanish met the Swedes in qualifying for this tournament, beating them 3-0 at home and drawing 1-1 in Stockholm. Sweden have bowed out at the group stage at each of the last three European Championships, though they did reach the quarter-finals of the 2018 World Cup.
