SYNOPSIS

Profile of the Asian conqueror, filmed on location in Mongolia and based on the accounts of his contemporaries. The part-dramatised documentary examines the violent world he inhabited, touching on the murder of his father and kidnap of his wife. However, while most warlords of the era were merely interested in plunder, Genghis was possessed of a grander vision - to unite his people into a single powerful nation.
