This TV special from 1962 featuring the legendary Garland, Sinatra and Martin continues the BBC4 season devoted to the sound of swing, and features a fine selection of standards and a belting closing medley by Garland. She gives her all to Swanee, Rock-a-Bye Your Baby and San Francisco, as only she could. It's followed at 9pm by a 1965 TV gig showcasing Count Basie and his Orchestra, which includes his signature tunes April in Paris and Jumping at the Woodside.
