Muža je upoznala osam godina prije kobnog događaja, kad je radila kao frizerka i imala želju studirati i zaposliti se kao pripravnica u njegovoj ordinaciji.
Postali su ljubavnici, zatim su se vjenčali, pa ju je muž obasipao bogatstvom i darovima, zatim je slijedila posesivnost, pa ljubomora...
Sve upućuje na to da je psihologinja počinila ubojstvo, no optužnica se ne može podići dok se ne pronađe oružje.
Ona počinje sama istraživati i otkriva da je muž vodio dvostruki život i da je bio opsjednut prostitutkama...

Newly married psychiatrist Mary (Jane Seymour) is identified as the murderer of her husband, Paul (Robert Desiderio), by an unimpeachable eyewitness. For me to enjoy a mystery, I need to feel that the events shown could actually happen. This feeling never happened once in this movie. The best acting in the movie was just so-so and most was terrible. Notable in this was James Farentino. No doubt the poor acting was caused by the director (James Keach) requiring so little. Aside from the generally poor acting was the poor script. Seldom did anyone act in a way that the average person would say is normal. For instance Jane Seymour is the chief suspect in her husbands murder because of an eye witness identifying her.She locates the person who looks somewhat like her but dosnt get her name. When she reports this to the police, she says that she didnt get her last name only the first-Rita. Later on the eve of her indictment she locates Rita again but instead of reporting to the police, she puts her in her own protective custody. The movie is so corny that in the only sex scene, there is magically a room full of lit candles just so we
