SADRžAJ
This broad British comedy stars American actress Summer Phoenix - sister of Joaquin and the late River - as a North London Jewish "princess" who's defying her traditional family for the love of a non-Jewish boy. First-time director Ric Cantor leaves no stereotype unturned in the telling of this cross-cultural romance and as much as one might wish the film occasionally to confound one's expectations, it never does. However, it's diverting enough in a "Bridget Gold's Diary" sort of way, but the most interesting aspect of the enterprise is the unexpected but effective casting of Phoenix, who becomes the latest in a long line of American imports to play British and be good at it.
