SINOPSIS
This wartime comedy is so full of tired plot that it could easily have been assembled after a recce of the cutting room floor. As in It's in the Air, George Formby is rejected by the armed forces only to find himself in the thick of the action after he puts on a handy uniform. Like so many British flag-wavers, the storyline concerns a nest of Nazi spies that has confounded the entire secret service. They're no match for an amiable oaf like Formby, however, who even has time for a couple of numbers on the ukelele and a romantic interlude.
