INHALT

Nachdem Napoleon fast ganz Europa unterworfen hat, träumt er davon, Russland zu erobern. Inzwischen vererbt in Moskau Graf Besukow seinem unehelichen Sohn Pierre ein riesiges Vermögen. Zusammen mit seinem Freund, Fürst Andrej Bolkonski, zieht Pierre in die Schlacht von Austerlitz. Beide verlieben sich in die junge Natascha. Als Andrej in der blutigen Schlacht von Borodin stirbt, ist der Weg für Pierre frei.
