INHALT
A well-cast Victor Mature and Jean Simmons play a warring couple who adopt a child as their union collapses, in this lesson in how not to handle a disintegrating relationship. Director Roy Rowland brings out the best in the stars, who make this crazy premise credible by sheer strength of acting. However, the film ultimately goes nowhere - having set everything up, Rowland seems unsure about the direction his characters should take. Watching this is rather like opening a tempting box of chocolates and finding half are missing.
