INHALT

Desideria was born to a prostitute who couldn't keep her, so sold her to the rich bourgeois Viola, who has given her a good education but little affection. When she discovers that Viola is not her real mother, she first tries to commit suicide, then decides to take revenge by challenging and turning against her world.
