Синопсис

This far-fetched but entertaining wartime thriller, based on Jack Higgins's bestselling novel, stars Michael Caine as an unlikely German colonel who leads a task force that infiltrates an English village in 1943 with the aim of kidnapping prime minister Winston Churchill. Even more unlikely is English-hating Donald Sutherland's Irish accent allied with the cut-glass tones of Jenny Agutter, who plays the local girl he falls for. As a lurking party, the Germans aren't very convincing, but director John Sturges puts some hefty action into the untidy package, while Donald Pleasence's impersonation of Heinrich Himmler is totally credible.
