OPIS
Drama. Adaptacija klasičnog francuskog romana "Manon Lescaut" Abbea Prevosta s tim da je radnja smještena u doba poslije 2. svjetskog rata. On (S. Reggiani) je bio u francuskom Pokretu otpora i želi spasiti Manon (C. Aubry) od mještana koji je žele smaknuti zbog kolaboracije s nacistima. Odu u Pariz, a njihov odnos postane turbulentan jer se upleću u novčane operacije, prostituciju i umorstvo...
Redatelj Henri-Georges Clouzot na Filmskom festivalu u Veneciji 1949. nagrađen je za film Zlatnim lavom.
