Mildly entertaining tale of a monk who rapidly falls into bad habits when he quits cloistered monastery life and re-enters the real world. John Michie makes an engaging hero, and there's strong support from EastEnders star Martin Kemp and Paula Hamilton. The film's "real" world never quite convinces, however, and the tone is wildly inconsistent. It's as if debut director Tom Waller wasn't quite sure what sort of movie he wanted to make.
