Business is not going particularly well at Taubenbaum burials in Hepperlingen. That is why Lisa Taubenbaum is working more often as a physiotherapist again, her brother Hannes is more likely to do shop counters than coffins and father Alfons is busy working on the council. The corpse of a young woman at a bus stop brings work, but since nobody knows who it is, an unprofitable burial at state expense is to be expected. That's why Alfons has absolutely nothing against Lisa trying to clarify the identity of the stranger. This dead woman does not leave his daughter in peace; a cardiac arrest at that age gives her pause. Lisa's persistent research does indeed reveal a number of inconsistencies, but village policeman Andi has only limited interest in them. But Lisa knows the Stuttgart inspector Thomas Zellinger, whom she would like to see again anyway. There is also enough for him to do professionally. Because the car key of the dead leads Lisa to an accident car in the forest - and in the trunk to the body of old Dürr. Now the local council is also involved, because Dürr owned a hard-fought property that plays a major role in the already controversial Hepperlinger expansion plans. While the dispute in the municipal council continues to escalate, the parties are trying to win the votes of the council members and Alfons is wrestling with his conscience, Lisa starts the dangerous task of clearing up the connection between the death of old Dürr and the young woman.
