Over the last twenty years, a player with overwhelming ambitions has imposed itself. China no longer hides its desire to overtake the United States - the main target of its cyberattacks - by becoming the world's leading power. In the early 2000s, young Chinese patriotic hackers, acting independently of state authority, defaced American websites - such as the US Navy's - with political slogans. Since then, the Middle Kingdom's digital capabilities have changed in scale. According to the United States, the country is now engaged in unprecedented theft of industrial and commercial information to fuel its development.
